Ms. Teena came to work at the Montessori School of Florence in 1999 as the Director and Upper Elementary teacher. Ms. Teena has taught math, science, and cultural subjects in the Upper Elementary Level since 1999. In 2005, Ms. Teena left her position as Director to devote time to the school's curriculum. In 2011 Ms. Teena stepped back into the role as Director, while continuing to teach Upper Elementary. Ms. Teena has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Learning Disabilities from Francis Marion University. She has received her American Montessori Society certification.

Mrs. Robin Young

Ms. Robin came to work at the Montessori School of Florence in 1999. She has taught the toddler Level class since 2005. Ms. Robin assisted in a Primary Level class for five years before becoming the Toddler teacher. Ms. Robin is a native of Florence and has received her certificate as an assistant from the American Montessori Society.

Ms. Ellen has been teaching since 1990. In 2002 Ms. Ellen came to work at the Montessori School of Florence as the Upper Elementary level teacher. She has been teaching the Primary level since 2004. Ms. Ellen has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Francis Marion University. Ms. Ellen received her American Montessori certification.

Ms. Traci came to work at the Montessori School of Florence in 2011. Ms. Traci has been teaching since 2007. Most recently, Ms. Traci taught for Florence School District One. Ms. Traci earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Coker College. Ms. Traci received her American Montessori Society certification in 2011.

Ms. Beth came to work at the Montessori School of Florence in 2005 as an assistant in the Upper elementary level. Ms. Beth became the language arts teacher for the Upper Elementary Level in 2007. Mrs. Martina McKenzie
Ms. Martina came to work at the Montessori School of Florence in 2001 as an assistant at the Lower Elementary Level. In 2007, Ms. Martina began teaching German Language classes. Ms. Martina has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Coker College.

Mrs. Heather-Lynne Shannon

Ms. Heather-Lynne taught music at the school from 2001-2004 and returned in 2008. Ms. Heather-Lynne received a Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy and a Masters in Special Education from Ohio University and is a Nationally Board Certified Music Therapist.

Mrs. Luz Perdomo
Ms. Luz came to work at the Montessori School of Florence in 2006, as the Spanish Language teacher. Ms. Luz has a bachelor's degree in chemical Engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She is a native of Bogota, Colombia, South America.

Mrs. Robin Monti
Ms. Robin came to work at the Montessori School of Florence in 2009 as the Physical Education Instructor for Extended Day - Fourth Grade. In the 2010-2011 school year she assisted in the After School Care program. Ms. Robin is also one of our primary substitutes. Ms. Robin has two are current students and one alumnus of the Montessori School of Florence. Ms. Robin is a native of Beaufort, South Carolina and is a graduate of Beaufort High School.
