Certified Montessori teachers function in the classroom as mentors, guiding the children to understanding through discovery. Maria Montessori once said that the greatest sign of success for a teacher is to be able to say, "The children are now working as if I did not exist."
All Florence Montessori teachers have bachelor's degrees, have been certified by the American Montessori Society, and possess an average of twelve years' experience in educating and guiding children. Several of our teachers hold master's degrees as well.
All Florence Montessori classrooms have an assistant who has an average of five years' classroom experience. Our assistants have been certified by the American Montessori Society and are required to earn annual continuing education credits.
