Dear Montessori Families and Friends,
Educational and exciting events are planned for the next few weeks. All the elementary students will be traveling to Willard Farms in Sumter for an Earth Day celebration. The children will receive lessons about plants and gardening, take a tour of the farm, and pick strawberries to bring home.
As part of their study of South Carolina history, the third grade students will be touring historic sites in Charleston and visiting the Statehouse in Columbia.
The upper elementary students will be taking their annual four-day trip in May. This year our trip includes tours of the Yorktown Victory Center, Battle of Antietam, Gettysburg Battlefield, and historic Philadelphia. We will finish our trip with a fun-filled day at Busch Gardens.
Mark your calendars for May 10th and plan to join all the Montessori families for a school lawn picnic at 5:30. Hope to see you at the picnic!
